Noise Abatement Procedures

KSGJ is surrounded by residential areas. All pilots are encouraged to follow voluntary noise abatement procedures to maintain good community relations and protect our airport.

Avoid overflying residential areas at low altitudes, especially during early morning and late evening hours.
Use runway 13 for departure and runway 31 for arrivals when wind conditions permit to minimize noise over populated areas.
Fly a tight traffic pattern and avoid extended downwind legs over neighborhoods.
Reduce power as soon as practical after departure while maintaining safe climb.
Avoid repeated touch-and-go operations before 7:00 AM and after 10:00 PM local time.
