SAAPA proudly works alongside these organizations to strengthen general aviation in Northeast Florida.
The Northeast Florida Aero Club is a member-owned flying club formed in December 2019 by local pilots. NEFLAC operates four club aircraft based at KSGJ and the Jacksonville area with flexible scheduling and availability, offering an affordable path to flight time for pilots across Northeast Florida.
Our local Experimental Aircraft Association chapter shares our passion for aviation. Together we support Young Eagles flights, Wings n' Wheels events, builder workshops, and community fly-ins.
SAAPA participates in the AOPA Airport Support Network, serving as grassroots advocates for KSGJ to protect and promote our airport against threats and closures.
The St. Augustine Airport Pilots Association was founded by a small group of GA pilots who recognized the need for a unified voice at St Augustine Airport. What started as informal hangar gatherings grew into a structured organization with regular monthly meetings, safety seminars, group flyouts, and community events. Over the years SAAPA has grown to more than 200 members, successfully advocated for GA-friendly policies at the airport authority, launched a flight training scholarship fund, and established partnerships with EAA Chapter 600, NEFLAC, and the AOPA Airport Support Network. Today the association continues to thrive as the heart of the pilot community at KSGJ.
